Monthly Meeting of Masters Program (GNMP) Cohorts In October 2019, the May 18 Memorial Foundation organized monthly meeting with Global NGOs Master Program (GNMP) students. ![]() In October, the Foundation was invited the winner of the Gwangju Prize for Human Rights (GPHR), Joanna K. Cariño for special lecture for GNMP students. In November, the Foundation shares with GNMP students that it is inviting special lecturer Professor Cho Hyo-je from SunKongHoe University to share international human rights law and human rights issues with the GNMP students and enrich their knwledge over it. The Foundation staff also share the detail about Jeju 4.3 Forum with GNMP students. The Foundation also shared that through Jeju 4.3 Peace Forum (11.21-23) the GNMP students could enhance their knowledge and understanding about the Korean democratic uprisings and enrich their understanding about the Korean history. Currently, there are two GNMP Cohort 03 and 04 are attending GNMP course in Chonnam National University. ※ 2018 Cohort 3 GNMP Students Name: Nong Thi Nghi Phuong Fiona (Philippines), Shah Nawaz Shan (Pakistan), Rosy K.C. (Nepal), Muhammad GM Nur Lintang (Indonesia) ※ 2019 Chohart 4 GNMP Students Name: Fatima Mohammad Sayah Al-khad (Jordan), Md Omar Farok (Bangladesh), Chan Hoi Yee (Hong Kong) The GNMP program is part of the program to foster international human rights activists started with the agreement of Chonnam National University, Gwangju City Hall and May 18 Memorial Foundation. |
