The fourth issue of the May 18 Glocal Issue Monitoring Report contains analysis and suggestions for global democracy, on account of World Democracy Day, which is September 15.
 

「Democracy under Threat: Protecting Democracy in Times of Autocratization」, celebrates World Democracy Day on Sept. 15 as mentioned earlier and was researched and written by Marina Nord, a researcher at the V-Dem Institute, Sweden. The May 18 Foundation announces statement on the World Democracy Day every year and issues related to international democracy for the year. This report is also an extension of that continued efforts to raise awareness about the global democracy. Nord is carefully unraveling the retrograde of global democracy and the impact of this trend on democracy to analyze the current state of global democracy. It also suggests what "we" can do to protect democracy within such a proliferation of dictatorships.
