We are pleased to call participants for The May 18 Academy (ex-Gwangju Asian Human Righs Folk School). This 3 week program from 30 July to 15 August, 2012 consists full of fieldtrips to important sights in Korean modern history such as Panmujeom and de-militarized zone (DMZ) and educational lectures by experts and also by activisits.
20 participants will be divided into three groups according to their background:
--Junior staff (8 people) with 2-5 years of experience
--Middle Management/Advisory (8 people) with 5-15 years of experience
--Senior (4 people) with more than 15 years of experince
Participants' roundtrip airfare, transportation expenses in Korea, accommodation and food will be covered by The May 18 Memorial Foundation. Domestic transportation (domestic flight, to/from airport/embassy) in participatns' home country, visa fee, and other tax will not be covered by the Foundation.
